Hank B Swartout

Hank Swartout is a highly accomplished entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in various industries. He holds a Petroleum Engineering Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and a Petroleum Engineering Degree (with Honors) from the University of Wyoming. Throughout his career, Hank has worked for notable companies like Nabors Drilling, where he contributed to building rigs for projects in Alaska and Alberta. He also played a significant role in managing the rig design and construction business at Dreco Energy Services, overseeing the delivery of drilling rigs to clients across the United States, Beaufort Sea, Canada, and overseas.

Taking a bold step into entrepreneurship, Hank established himself in Calgary and acquired an interest in Cypress Drilling, a company initially consisting of only three drilling rigs and twenty employees. Under Hank's leadership, Cypress expanded its operations by acquiring the drilling assets of Precision Drilling Ltd. During this period, Hank assumed the roles of President, CEO, and Executive Chairman of Precision Drilling Corporation. He steered the company's remarkable growth through 82 acquisitions and significant internal development, transforming it into one of the world's largest Oilfield Service Companies, boasting a workforce of over 15,000 employees and operations in 34 countries.

Even today, Hank Swartout remains actively involved in the oil and gas industry, lending his expertise and leadership to small private oil and gas companies. His diverse skillset extends to various sectors, including Oilfield Drilling and Services, Nuclear Power Generation, Property Development, Fiber Optic Network Development, and Water and Sewer Development. Hank continues to serve as a respected leader and mentor in his field.
